Max Math Challenge - Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy for Max Math Challenge Last Updated: January 10, 2026

Max Math Challenge ("we", "our", or "the App") is committed to protecting the privacy of all our users, especially children. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding information collection and usage.

1. Children’s Privacy & COPPA Compliance Max Math Challenge is designed to be family-friendly and is intended for users of all ages, including children under the age of 13.

No Personal Information: We do NOT collect, store, or request any personally identifiable information (PII) from any user.

COPPA Compliance: We comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Since we do not collect personal data, we do not require parental consent for PII collection.

2. Information Collection and Use We do not use any "login" system. All your progress is yours alone.

Local Data Storage: The App uses Android DataStore to save your high scores, coins, power-ups, and language settings locally on your device. This data is never transmitted to any external server.

Device Information: We do not collect unique device identifiers except what is strictly necessary for the App's functionality (see Third-Party Services).

3. Third-Party Services & Advertising To keep the game free, we show advertisements. We use third-party services that may process limited data:

Google AdMob: * For users identified as children (under 13 or 16 depending on jurisdiction), we have configured AdMob to serve Non-Personalized Ads only.

We use Google’s "Tag for Child-Directed Treatment" (TFCD) to ensure ads comply with COPPA and GDPR-K.

Ads are filtered to a "G" (General) rating, ensuring they are appropriate for children.

Google Play Services: Used for app updates and basic game functionality.

4. Required Permissions The App requests the following permissions only:

Internet Access: To load advertisements and check for app updates via our secure GitHub versioning system.

Haptic Feedback: To provide vibration during gameplay for a better user experience.

NO Sensitive Permissions: We never ask for access to your camera, microphone, contacts, or location.

5. Data Security Since no data is transmitted to our servers, your information is as secure as your physical device. We recommend keeping your Android OS updated to ensure local data protection.

6. Changes to This Policy We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in regulations or app features. We will notify users of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
